Custom business software
Desktop and web applications shaped around how your team already works, not the other way round.
.NET · VB.NET · C# · WinForms · Windows servicesI'm Robert, a software engineer with a B.Eng from McMaster. Since 2015 I've built the engineering and manufacturing software behind high-rise window walls. Now I pair that experience with AI-assisted development, so you get carefully built software in a fraction of the usual time.
An AND gate only outputs a 1 when every input is a 1. Good software works the same way. Speed without experience ships the wrong thing quickly. Experience without modern tools takes too long and costs too much. UnityLogic brings the two together.
| A | B | Out | In practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 0 | Off-the-shelf software that almost fits |
| 1 | 0 | 0 | The right build, delivered over budget and late |
| 0 | 1 | 0 | Fast output that misses how your business works |
| 1 | 1 | 1 | Software that fits, shipped quickly and built to last |
Whether you're a business owner with a spreadsheet that's outgrown itself or an individual with an idea, I'll help you figure out what's worth building and then build it properly.
Desktop and web applications shaped around how your team already works, not the other way round.
.NET · VB.NET · C# · WinForms · Windows servicesTurn scattered spreadsheets and exports into one reliable database, with search, lookups and reports people actually use.
SQL Server · MySQL · SQLite · Access · ETLTools that connect design data to the shop floor: breakdowns, takeoffs, BOMs, CNC data, pricing and work orders.
Revit API · Inventor API · AutoCAD · ERP dataFast, clean sites, dashboards and portals for businesses and personal brands, from a landing page to a full web app.
HTML · JavaScript · Python · PHPPut AI to work on the repetitive parts of your day: Excel and PDF automation, document processing, assistants, and local models that keep your data in-house.
Claude · local LLMs · Excel · PDFFix, extend or rebuild the legacy app your business depends on but nobody wants to touch. I've spent years taking one from a legacy codebase to a modern, maintained platform.
VB6 · .NET · Git · Azure DevOps · CI/CDIn-house software that turns architectural designs into breakdowns, takeoffs, bills of materials, CNC data, pricing and work orders. I started as the company's only developer, took over a large legacy codebase, and have grown it into a much bigger platform over the years.
A desktop system I built solo to follow work orders through production, with reporting that runs by itself.
A dashboard that brings pull requests and support tickets into one view. I built it almost entirely with AI, as a lightweight Python server and a single-page web front end.
The pilot iOS and Android app for a handheld colour sensor. I shipped the iOS rollout in one month.
A complete IRC-based Twitch client built from scratch, because the best way to learn a protocol is to ship something on it.
We talk through the problem, the people involved and what a good result looks like. You get a clear scope and a quote.
AI-assisted development means you see a working first version in days, not months, while changes are still cheap.
Every line is reviewed and tested by an engineer. AI speeds up the work; it doesn't decide what ships.
Handover, documentation and ongoing help, so the software keeps working as your needs change.
I studied software engineering with embedded systems at McMaster University and started out writing Bluetooth apps for a hardware startup. Since 2015 I've built software for high-rise window-wall manufacturing, where a wrong number means wasted glass and aluminum. I started there as the only developer and today I'm a senior developer.
I'm AI-native: I build with AI tools every day, and I review and test every line they write. When you work with UnityLogic, you work directly with me, from the first call to the final release. I'm resourceful, I stay focused on what matters to you, and I'm not done until you're happy with the result.
Tell me what you're working on. I'll reply within one business day with questions, ideas or a rough plan. The first conversation is free.
